On Saturday morning, we loaded up Harvey J with all our stock to take to the sunday flea market at Malvern. We then travelled to a lovely little farm campsite that we have stayed at before. It's only 5 minutes from the Three Counties Showground where the flea market is held. We were the only ones in the field. It was lovely and relaxing which was great as I was really tired due to not having slept a wink with all the thunder and lightning we had during friday night.
The campsite also has shepherd's huts that you can rent out.
Just as we arrived at the campsite, we had a phone call to let us know that Chris's daughter Katherine had given birth to a little baby boy...so we are now proud grandparents! Katherine and her husband Sam have named their son Charlie. We are thrilled!
It was an early start the next morning but we soon got set up at the flea market.....
Chris had good sales but mine weren't so good. I took the costume jewellery that I had bought at auction back in January....remember this?.....
Here it is displayed at the flea market....
I thought there were some good pieces but I could hardly give them away!! I reduced them to £1 a piece and even then I only sold a few pieces. I don't think I'll be buying any more costume jewellery at auction!
All in all, we had a fun day and it's always good to have a night away in Harvey J....and who cares about a few pieces of costume jewellery when baby Charlie has just arrived into this world!
Thanks for popping by,
Maggie xx
Congratulations! Wow! How exciting to be grandparents for the very first time! To bad about the jewellry. If my daughter were there she would buy it as she uses old jewelry to make new jewelry. I just love that Harvey J too because Spencer can go everywhere with you. I bet my girls would love something like that too. Can't wait to see some pictures of baby Charlie.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being grandparents!!:)
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you enjoyed your market trip is more important .....sales can be up and down sometimes.
Exciting times, a new baby to cherish and spoil, congratulations. All sales are up and down, better luck next time.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the arrival of Baby Charlie! And your market trip looks fun - I would've bought some of that jewelry for sure! =)
