Birthdays and Horses' Shoes

It's been our birthday week!

Mine on Monday and Chris' on Wednesday.

We've taken the week to just relax and do some of things we love doing :)

Lunching out, cinema (the new James Bond movie), walking with Spencer, a spot of shopping.....

And now we've started decorating the hallway!
I've just finished the second coat of paint on the ceiling whilst Chris has been preparing the walls for painting tomorrow.
If it turns out as planned, I will share some photos with you soon!

Earlier in the week (and I know this is a bit random), I looked out of the window to see the farrier attending to our neighbour's horses' shoes.

It's things like this that make me love where we live!

  3. Oh you guys! Happy Birthdays! I hope you had a grand week and if I were there I would have baked you both a cake...and helped you eat it too! I would have brought Spencer some of my "natural & healthy" homemade dog treats (recipe is on my blog this week) that I make for my girls. Your plans to celebrate sounded just wonderful!
I am also getting in the "painting mood" and I can't wait to see what yours looks like....I could use some inspiration and motivation. I just have so many things I want to do but right now is caulking outside before it gets too cold.
I had horses when I had my little farmette and I love them so! The red one looks like my first horse. Oh, what I wouldn't give to ride again and have an acreage. It looks like you have the best of all worlds there! Gorgeous scenery too and I still can't get over all your beautiful walking paths. Enjoy your birthdays! TTYS!

Great picture of the horses....its a long time since I last saw that....reminds me when I used stay at my Aunty's farm in Somerset. That was out in the wilds!
