Handmade Patchwork I Spy Quilt

Hi there!

Where have the months gone?!

I have been rather busy........my son, George, and I took a trip Oz to visit my eldest son, Will.......

and Chris and I have been working away at our renovation project in France!

On the business front, I'm still selling cotton fabrics but I really miss making patchwork quilts to sell.....especially baby quilts!

So I've made this I Spy Quilt to sell in my online shops, Daisy Patchwork, on eBay and Etsy.....it's similar to the one I made for our grandson, Charlie. See here.

Here the quilt.....what do you think?

Lots of interesting things to see....

....lots of games to play.......

......lots of fun!

I spy a bird!

I spy a boat!

I spy a biscuit!

I backed it with cosy fleece fabric...perfect for snuggling!

Thanks for visiting!

  3. What a great idea for a quilt! I guess I missed your first I Spy quilt so I went and visited that one too. Sounds like a great idea for a Christmas present for my grands although they are not babies but still I think they would like something like it. How did you get so many different fabrics? From your own store or stash? They are wonderfully varied and buying a charm pack or something similar would not give the same affect at all as they would be too coordinated. I love the non-coordinated look that you get with yours. I better start looking at fabric. I would love to order from you and may give it a go to see how much shipping would cost. I can order from Deramores and it is sometimes cheaper shipping than the U.S. ...so I think there are many companies here in the U.S. that inflate their shipping costs to make more money! Shameful but true!
So you went to Australia! How wonderful and how great to see your son and be able to travel with your other son. Did Chris go or stay home and babysit Spencer and Max? I hope you had a wonderful time and so glad to see your quilting as you are such an inspiration to me!

    1. Hi there, I'm glad you like the I spy quilt. My fabric stash is so huge, I had all these fabrics already! You say about a charm pack....well I've just started selling my own charm packs with squares almost the same as this quilt. So maybe that would be an option for you.
I had a wonderful time in Australia with both my sons. Chris stayed behind as he wasn't too keen on the long flights and it worked out well as he could look after Spencer and Max.
