This is the second baby clothes quilt I've made for my lovely customer and I've so enjoyed it :)
This time I decided to make a scrappy binding using some lovely blue cottons....
..... I felt it suited the style of the quilt....

Here's a pic to make you smile.......Spencer with the new toy I bought him yesterday......it lasted all of half an hour!
Any dog owners out there know the feeling?

Lovely idea for a quilt, what a wonderful keepsake :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Love the colors for the next one!
ReplyDeleteSpencer got the job done, didn't he? Our dog used to work and work until she extracted the squeaker. Done!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is perfect! I can't wait to see the next one!
I love the quilt, what a brilliant idea to make up from babys outgrown clothing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt!! And I know the feeling, we have a German Shepherd and she destroys every toy!
ReplyDeleteOh Maggie it's perfect what a good idea for a keepsake x
ReplyDeleteThe quilt turned out great! Baby will be fast asleep under it. I myself feel like snuggling in it!
ReplyDeleteOh Spencer, you rogue! Alfie is exactly the same with soft toys.
ReplyDeleteI like the scrappy binding very much. Adds a nice, fun touch!
Reusing things like your prego clothing or kids clothing are such a lovely personal way to reuse and not waste. I've made many t-shirt quilts like this and we all love them just as if it was all new fabric. Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love it, what an excellent idea and special keepsake, you're so talented :) xx

This turned out so cute! Nice job. I love upcycles. Chris is doing a great job modeling it. :-) That Spencer looks pretty sorry. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute memory quilt! The binding is like the icing on a cake. It makes the quilt a little more special and perfect for its new owner.
