I Spy Baby Quilt

A couple of posts ago, I gave you a glimpse of a quilt I was working on. Well I've now completed the quilt and here it is!.....

It's an I Spy quilt for baby Charlie......

I've so enjoyed making this quilt.....

....and Chris and I loved choosing the different fabrics and pictures together....

Lots of interesting things to see......lots of games to play........lots of fun!

I spy a horse.......I spy a tractor.......I spy Father Christmas!

I backed the quilt in this cute animal print.....

and the binding is red with white stars.....

When Charlie is a little older, he'll be able to recognise the pictures on the quilt.......

....until then I love to think of him snuggled up under the quilt....

.......or using it as a playmat for tummy time.......

My first I Spy quilt....I'm really pleased with the finished quilt.....

I will definitely be making more I Spy quilts for any future grandchildren!

I hope you like it too.

Thanks for taking the time to pop by,

Flea Market Weekend

On Saturday morning, we loaded up Harvey J with all our stock to take to the sunday flea market at Malvern. We then travelled to a lovely little farm campsite that we have stayed at before. It's only 5 minutes from the Three Counties Showground where the flea market is held. We were the only ones in the field. It was lovely and relaxing which was great as I was really tired due to not having slept a wink with all the thunder and lightning we had during friday night.

The campsite also has shepherd's huts that you can rent out.

Just as we arrived at the campsite, we had a phone call to let us know that Chris's daughter Katherine had given birth to a little baby boy...so we are now proud grandparents! Katherine and her husband Sam have named their son Charlie. We are thrilled!

It was an early start the next morning but we soon got set up at the flea market.....

Chris had good sales but mine weren't so good. I took the costume jewellery that I had bought at auction back in January....remember this?.....

Here it is displayed at the flea market....

I thought there were some good pieces but I could hardly give them away!! I reduced them to £1 a piece and even then I only sold a few pieces. I don't think I'll be buying any more costume jewellery at auction!

All in all, we had a fun day and it's always good to have a night away in Harvey J....and who cares about a few pieces of costume jewellery when baby Charlie has just arrived into this world!

Thanks for popping by,

Another Day Another Cattle Trough

Just a little sneak peek of a quilt I'm working on at the moment.....

.....more to follow soon......

Yesterday we decided to take Spencer to the Common later on in the day in the hope that it would be cooler. It was still pretty hot up there.
As you can see Spencer was feeling the heat.....after racing around after his ball he made for the shade under his favourite bench....

.....and then enjoyed the cool water.....in a different cattle trough this time.....he likes to mix it up!

I've just added another gorgeous fabric to my Ebay and Etsy shops....

'Brooklyn Debi' by Michael Miller....so pretty....

Here are the links to the listings in my shops.....

Flea Market Prep and Chicken Fabric

I have had a nice day spending most of it cutting ribbons and fat quarters in preparation for Sunday's Malvern Flea Market....

Spencer has been racing around the Common with his tennis ball...

....only to cool off in the cattle trough.....

I often wonder what the cows would think of a big black dog wading around in their drinking water!

I have also added another fabric to my Ebay and Etsy Shops.

Roosters and Hens by Wilmington....I love the watercolour look of these chickens on the gorgeous blue 'chicken wire' background.....

You may find it here for Daisy Patchwork on Etsy and
here for Daisy Patchwork on Ebay.
